Boot & Co continually innovates, both in the production processes and introducing new varieties, allowing us to satisfy our customers’ requirements.
Our in-house Research & Development team take a market-oriented approach to trailing and selecting new plants. Three priority criteria in this respect are:
- Sturdiness and health
- Weed suppression and suitability for low maintenance mass planting
- Long period of colour an interest
Breeding and cross-breeding to produce new varieties requires a very long-term approach. Triumph and disappointment can follow hot on each other’s heels during this process. Before a new variety can be confidently launched on to the market, it undergoes a rigorous trials process at several international locations.
The development of a series of new low-maintenance plants such as healthy Landscape Roses on their own rootstock and various ground cover shrubs are examples of this approach, our specialist R&D team undertake this work.

MPS Florimark Trade
Afgelopen week hebben wij het MPS Florimark Trade certificaat behaald. Wij kunnen en mogen daarmee ook het onder MPS duurzaam geproduceerde boomkwekerijproduct doorleveren. Voor onze klanten betekent dit dat er een breder pakket aan duurzaam geproduceerd product beschikbaar komt.
Afleveren begonnen
Het is 1 november geweest. De eerste afroepen van plantsoen zijn verwerkt en ons bedrijf draait weer op volle toeren. Zowel voor het binnenland als ook voor de export wordt veel geladen.
